Liddy Opal Deluxe Guitars

Liddy Opal Deluxe Guitars are crafted from the finest tone woods to maximise the traditional tone, sustain and projection available from an arch-top guitar.  The standard models have sitka or englemann spruce tops and highly figured American maple backs, sides and neck.

The neck shape and set-up insure the instruments are a delight to play.

Selected mother of pearl inlays and a choice of hand rubbed natural or sunburst finishes make these guitars, not only among the finest instruments available, but an items of great beauty.

Lindy Fralin or Bartolini floating pickups are provided as a standard option. These pickups provide the clarity and warm tone sought after by jazz musicians while maintaining the acoustic integrity of the guitar. Optional electric configurations, including dual humbucking pickups, can be provided as a custom order. For other custom options, contact Liddy Instruments.

The guitars come with quality Hiscox Liteflite cases.

All Liddy Instruments come with a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner.

Note 1: Alternate bracing styles available as a custom order.

Note 2: Oval sound hole models available as a custom order.  These guitars tend to produce a very pleasing sweet sound, but they lack the projection of the f-hole guitars.

Note 3: The stain for the sunburst finishes on the back sides and neck is hand rubbed.  This enhances the figure of the wood to give a striking 3-D effect.  This is in contrast to applying the colour in lacquer, where the colour sits on top of the wood and tends to conceal the figure.

Note 4: The acoustic-electric models come with volume and tone controls. Other electric options available as a custom order.
